A night not forgotten, on Thursday, December 12th, friends, family, and community gathered to celebrate the birthday of celebrity photographer, Mike Ruiz.
Ruiz, a philanthropist with a heart of gold, turned all attention to the Ali Forney Center, using his night to raise awareness for a cause.
For those who may not be familiar, the Ali Forney Center is a center with the mission to protect LGBTQ youths from the harms of homelessness, and empower them with all the tools needed to live independently.
Ruiz took the stage to speak about the center, his personal experiences, and the importances of donating.
“Donate, donate, donate!” he exclaimed throughout the night.
With over $3,500 raised, and 300+ guests throughout the night, Ruiz’s party is only the beginning for his quest to support this beloved center.
The night was nothing short of spectacular, with head turning guests including America’s Next Top Model icon, Miss J. Alexander, and Netflix’s The Politician stars, Trevor and Trey Eason.
Music legends graced the stage, with performances by Mia Martina, Bright Lights Bright Lights, Martha Wash, Deborah Cox, Ultra Nate, and Jason Walker.
There was no shortage of dancing, thanks to sounds by DJ Dawson, Girl Squad, and Rissa Garcia.
Guests were treated to an array of drinks from Gay Beer, Recess, Boxed Water, and Loverboy, all captured by Rachel Herman-Gabrielli (@rhg.pics) behind the lens.
