By now, you’ve probably heard the name Shannon Purser. Her debut role as Barbara Holland on Netflix’s “Stranger Things” took the world by storm, and left the entire internet wanting #JusticeForBarb. While Barb may be dead, Shannon is very much alive with her current roles as Ethel Muggs in “Riverdale” and Annabelle in “Rise”. Purser has just begun, and there’s no sign of her slowing down. An active member of the LGBTQ community, using her platform to raise mental health awareness and send body-positive messages, Shannon Purser is potentially the most relatable 21-year-old in Hollywood today – and we love her for it.
