Prune: At age 14 you have already accomplished so much. When did you first begin acting?

Wyatt: If I had my way I would’ve started at age 5! However, I started at around age 7 because it took my parents a couple of years to figure out how best to support me on the journey.

Prune: We’ve seen you as young Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy What was it like working on such a large franchise?

Wyatt: At first it was a little overwhelming and exciting getting to see the huge sound stage sets and all of the people in costume. It’s quite a production but they run everything so smoothly! Even though it was such a large franchise film I felt very safe and taken care of, so when it was my turn to perform, I didn’t have any hesitation in being vulnerable and emotional.

Prune: There are so many big names in Guardians of the Galaxy including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper. What is it like to learn from actors that have had such success in the business?

Wyatt: After I met James Gunn and Chris Pratt the first day I felt at ease because they are just really nice guys. Zoe was really sweet and the overall vibe was just happy and comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to work with any of the main characters but I did get to work with Gregg Henry and Meredith Haddock who were both very kind and supportive. The overall take away for me was that you can be a huge star and still be a kind and genuine human.

Prune: Perhaps your most talked about role is your most recent – playing Stanley in Stephen King’s It. Talk to me about the success of this movie.

Wyatt: Gosh, what is there to say? This is incredible!!! We felt like we had something special during the summer of 2016 but to see that we have connected with so many fans and that they feel it is special too is really something to celebrate.

Prune: It features a group of kids referred to as the “Losers Club”. Was it fun to work with such a young cast?

Wyatt: Absolutely the most fun time I have ever had, and it will be tough to top it. Even though we're young we were able to work so well together and be professional most of the time. And of course being goofy whenever we were allowed. There is a common thread among us and we have our own special relationship. It was just like being at summer camp aside from, you know, the terrifying clown.

Prune: Stanley has OCD and is the “weakest member” of the group. Talk to me about his character as a whole.

Wyatt: I think the reason that Stanley is the weakest out of all of the losers is because he's the one that can't accept the fact that "IT" is in his life. He is the last person to believe that all of this is true, and this sense of logic is what weighs him down when he's against IT. Pennywise runs on imagination and fear, and these are two things that Stanley has the most trouble controlling.

Prune: Despite working behind the scenes, did you get scared at all watching the final product of It?

Wyatt: Of course! Since we didn’t see all of the scenes being shot, there were parts that really got me. As well as when you add music and edit scenes in a way to make them scarier, it really made me jump at some times.

Prune: You’ve had so many great opportunities come your way. What is your favorite It memory?

Wyatt: One of the most memorable moments I had on set was very emotional. It’s an intense scene that took a few days to shoot and it centers around the Losers and their friendship. I was dealing with big emotions and being vulnerable around my friends, and the crew. Having that experience with my cast mates was such a great bonding experience, which none of us had really experienced before. It brought us all even closer together because we were so raw and had trust, care, and compassion for one another.

Prune: You’re just getting started. What are your future goals?

Wyatt: I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve, but none of them are too specific, as I feel that having them that way will be limiting for me. Some of my goals include to write a ton, bad or good, make some great films, no matter the budget and create a huge network of cool and diverse people.

Prune: People are talking about your keen style despite your age. What is your everyday style?

Wyatt: Everyday, because of school, you will usually find me in jeans or pants with the cuffs rolled up

so you can see one of my many pairs of Happy Socks, with a nice t-shirt or short sleeve button

down silk shirt. And always a cool hoodie from somewhere like All Saints probably.

Prune: What are your three favorite fashion trends at the moment?

Wyatt: Jackets with broad shoulders that look slightly too big (I wore something like this to the iHeart Radio Music Festival by Longjourney), Wide leg pants (I’ll be wearing some by Libertine soon!), and I love wearing layers.

Prune: And finally, pop culture pruning. What current trend would you like to eliminate? (fashion,

beauty, lifestyle)

Wyatt: Oh man there are quite a few that I wish I could eliminate. However, I realize that trends I may not like could be important to someone else and so it would be mean for me to “take that away from them”. But I will leave you with this; be who you are, surround yourself with people who like you for who you are, and don’t be afraid to express yourself.
